Aarhus United UK Ltd, formerly known as Anglia Oils Ltd, Europe's leading innovator in the production of vegetable oils, was formed in 1982 with the express aim of marketing palm oil and its products in the UK. A wholly owned subsidiary of Aarhus United A/S, a registered company on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, Anglia began trading in October 1983.

With a uniquely flexible production capacity and a product base of over 40 oils, Aarhus United UK has the ability to deal with the widest range of customer demands in terms of volume and product. Additionally, the company has a truly comprehensive refinery based at the strategic port of Hull, which facilitates the easy import of raw materials and the dispatch of finished goods.

Company Growth

From an initial investment of £5m the company has grown rapidly to a £175m turnover, with 375,000 tonnes of volume sales, operating from three sites where in excess of £60m has been invested in state-of-the-art technology. An unbroken pattern of investment and growth has brought Aarhus United UK to the position it occupies today - recognised by customers as a market leading refinery with a reputation for innovation and flexibility together with the best in customer service.
Recently Aarhus United UK has grown through the acquisition of carefully chosen companies. Aarhus United UK has recently acquired Chalice Foods and Rowallan Creamery. Both firms were selected, so that the brands they brought to Aarhus United UK would complement and add depth to their wide range of quality products.
