Rowallan Creamery was established in Kilmarnock in 1888 by John Wallace and acquired by Aarhus United UK Ltd in 2001.
Research Bakery
All customers have access to the services of our Research Bakery. This department, staffed by experienced bakers, uses a wide variety of pilot scale industrial equipment to provide a high level of customer support. Using these resources, customers' recipes can be optimised "off-line" and the results rapidly translated onto their production lines with the help of our bakers during a Technical Service visit. While obviously an important link in the development of new products, the Research Bakery also performs valuable customer training and assists in solving production problems in a wide variety of finished products.
Quality System
Aarhus United UK's quality system is firmly based on the principles of HACCP (Hazard Analysis by Critical Control Points). This has produced a comprehensive set of well-documented procedures to guarantee all aspects of product safety and quality. Customers wishing to inspect this system are welcome to visit our site where the Technical Manager will be happy to guide them through all aspects of it. These visits provide invaluable feedback to ensure that all of our procedures and recording systems are maintained in harmony with the requirements of our customers.
