AarhusKarlshamn has been established

The merger between Danish Aarhus United A/S and Swedish Karlshamns AB is now reality. As from September 29 2005, the two companies are one: AarhusKarlshamn. This date was also the first day of trading for the AarhusKarlshamn share (ticker symbol: AAK) on Nya Marknaden – the unofficial New Market list of the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

Across the globe, companies in the new AarhusKarlshamn group have prepared for the merger of the two former competitors. But close cooperation and the actual merging of the two companies has only just begun. Over the coming months we will be working hard to merge our activities and optimise joint processes, all with the purpose of serving our stakeholders well and shaping AarhusKarlshamn for the future.

New management

The new AarhusKarlshamn management is headed by Group CEO Jerker Hartwall, former Managing Director of Karlshamns AB. Chairman of the Board will be Erik Højsholt, former Group CEO of Aarhus United A/S.
